The house itself, known locally as La Casa Felice, after the previous owner, offers comfortable and flexible accommodation in newly restored and modernised surroundings. Most of the original features have been retained, such as exposed stonework, fireplace and terracotta flooring, whilst the addition of features such as central heating, fully fitted kitchen and new bathrooms provide the comforts we are all used to. The style combines traditional and contemporary and the addition of a large covered Portico to the front of the building provides an extra 40 square metres of al fresco living space.The house is surrounded by almost five acres of land with over 30 olive trees, vines, figs, walnuts and various fruit trees and features a 10 x 5 metre swimming pool, with sun terrace and spectacular views towards the coast.
There are 2 Double bedrooms and a luxuriously appointed bathroom on the first floor, together with a balcony with beautiful views. Downstairs is a sitting room, with open fireplace, which can be changed to provide a further double or twin bedroom, if required. A third double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, opening onto a decked terrace with stunning views, completes the sleeping accommodation. The kitchen/dining area is a large room with exposed stone walls and fully fitted kitchen and dining table for up to eight people. The kitchen, fitted this year, has 5 ring gas hob, electric oven, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, double sink and ample work surfaces and food preparation island. There is a kettle, toaster and microwave too. There is also a window to the terrace to allow food to be passed out to the outside dining area.
At the rear of the property is a large storage/utility room ( formerly stables ) with washing machine and boiler.
The Portico to the front provides an additional living area. With dining table and chairs and an area with sofa and easy chairs, and blinds to keep out the morning sun, this is a wonderful space to relax and stay cool in the summer months. At night, there are various lighting options to allow you to enjoy al fresco living for as long as you like.
The private swimming pool, with Roman steps and lighting affords wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and the opportunity to cool off and relax. There is a range of garden furniture and inflatables for the use of guests.
The house is approached by a “white road” and is about 100 metres from the road, is totally secluded but with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. There is parking for up to 4 cars.
